Wow. Apparently I haven't posted anything new since February 27. That's nearly 38 days folks. Which is close to 40 days. Meaning, I could use the excuse that I gave up blogging for lent even though I didn't. So I'll just start off apologizing for my lack of posting. Oh please do forgive me. All 3 of my readers. And yes that does include my husband. So to my dearest 2 readers I am ever so very sorry.
Nothing new or exciting has really happened to me in the past 38 days. I didn't win a new Nikon D90 on the Pioneer Woman's website, nor did I win the drawing for a new Kitchen Aid mixer {speaking of, I did enter to win a pretty green one today, you should too![http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/] It's easy. If you don't want to enter just do it anyways. If you win just send it on over to me. I'll bake you many many things if so.} Anywho, although not winning those things justified me as a lifelong loser, I did get a few new gadgets the past 38 days of blogging lent.
I WON a bid on Ebay and purchased a brand new Cricut [die-cutting machine for those of you who can give a fly fart in space about scrapping or papercrafting]...as well as a new 50mm lens for my wonderful D60 I'm currently deciding to name Annie. Simply because little orphan Annie was my favorite growing up. TOMORROW TOMORROW I LOVE YA TOMORROW. Sorry. I'm going crazy. I ate my lunch for breakfast since I was too hungry to wait for 11:00am. Don't judge me.
I'll be posting pictures taken with my new lens once I get around to it. Maybe after another 38 days of blogging lent. God only knows. But aside from all my ramblings, I do have a point in today's post: Corey is leaving me for 6 weeks. Leaving for training to be exact. {after being only being married for 7 months I would hope I don't run him off so soon} Corey will be leaving May 21st {Steph Arney's 19th Birthday!} and returning on July 3 possibly July 5th if I can fly my booty up to see him graduate! Corey will be attending PLC{Platoon Leaders Course} in Quantico, VA. He will be training to become a Marine Officer. At the end of the post there will be a youtube video; check it out if you want to see more of what he'll be doing, or just learn something new about the Marines!
Although his absence is entirely unacceptable since I love him oh so much, I am so proud of him and his desire to lead Marines! He'll do so wonderful I absolutely cannot wait to see him graduate! And no worries, after PLC he will be coming back home to finish his degree here at good ol' UT Dallas. This isn't a deployment, just a 6 week training program to test his leadership abilities. Please keep him in your prayers that God keeps him mentally, physically, and especially spiritually strong. I know he's going to do so well!!
Love y'all more'n you know!
~Angela
PS. I do have a GREAT Easter story to share with you...which I'll do tomorrow since I've already written a novel and a half and wasted 5-25 minutes{depending on your reading capabilities} of your life you'll never ever get back . SORRRRRRRRY. =D
